What is PHP?



PHP is stand for PHP Hypertext Preprocessor. PHP is a server-side scripting language designed for web development. It is a widely-used open source scripting language that is especially desinged for making dynamic websites. PHP can be embedd easily into HTML file to make that file dynamic on the web server. PHP is a widely-used open source scripting language and can be executed on the server like Apache, WAMP and XAMP Server.

Use of PHP File:

You can use PHP to create a dynamic page with extension of .php like (hello.php).
You can use PHP to get data from Database or send data from PHP file to database.
You can use PHP to add, delete or modify data from DATABASE.
You can also use PHP to read, create, open, delete or close file on server.
You can also use PHP to read PDF file, to show image file and also for Flash file on browser.

How PHP Works?

When a User enter URL in browser then browser request for page on web server. It is first passed through the PHP engine, then PHP engine request for data from database. And Finaly PHP collect the data from database and wraped it into HTML formate. And the Web server send the page in HTML formate on our browser.
